Finding a step to step on

I have a problem, I am stuck again. It's disturbing me to the core.

finding a step.jpg

I have this problem, you see. Where I know what I am supposed to do, yet all of my being says I have to be and do otherwise. This inability to focus and do, frustrates me. In the need for fresh air and something new, I look towards nowhere. It hurts and it's bad, when you take steps trying to keep your morals in checks. Yet getting wind blown in your face and a harsh tone whistling with it. As I am stuck in this dammed routine that bores the fuck out of me. Trying to break out, I act like a child in need for attention, when no one bothers and no one cares to listen to my unbridled thoughts. Yet that wouldn't be my problem, as much as no one cares to understand where it all comes from and why. So I struggles with my thoughts and process as I try to evolve and do something else, when I have no avenue of doing what I wish for. Just as much as I am afraid to take the next step, knowing what awaits me. So I try to find a comfortable soothing place to understand myself and work towards my next place to be. Yet if it was easy, everyone would do it. So I try to keep it simple, keep it safe, but not too far from damnation.

They say that making the first step towards your dream is all that matters, yet when you take the second and third. You see that no one moves an inch to what you are trying to do, scares me, it would scare you too. So you try to find quick plan b's and c's and so on and so forth you try and go. But to where? When you fight for your voice, but all you get is a nuisance to deal with.

They say that legends are those that do the extraordinary, but when your appearance is ordinary, your complex simple and your ideas have the appearance of sticking in the ordinary, people do not look at you. It's like trying to fight the wind by pissing against it. You're the moron that's going to have to explain to people why you're wet and ashamed for what you tried to do. So when you swear it won't happen again, you start building walls around, a roof over your head. The result is the same, you're doing what everyone's doing, and quite soon, you're up in your ass. Having lost the touch with the real world and living in a fantasy. You became what many are, all that genius lost, all because now you're full of shit.

So what can one do to avoid all this? Well, again... They say that one must take the bull by the horns, must take life head on, must take it as it is and face it all. But as I am here, there's nothing to take on. I have to go around and sucker punch the world in the nards in order to get some attention. Attention usually greeted by backlash and fury. Which would be fine, if it weren't for the fact that it just stops to that backlash.

Here I stand, angry, flustered, trapped and with my mind in a bind as I try to find a way to unwind.

Belief

Wish upon

A star?

belief.jpg

I want to, believe me. I want to believe that humans are beautiful, that we all can live in peace and that we can prosper to something greater. And I'd love us to do that, to become something that we can be proud of. A world without armed conflict, without poverty, with manners, with some thought and with kindness. But the truth is, I'm never going to see that. I'm never even going to make a few people believe in this. Because people will never have enough belief in what we can do, in what we can become. And this is rather sad...

I wish I wouldn't hate people, but their absolute lack of behaviour, their rudeness, their thoughtless actions, their lack of empathy. It makes me angry. I can't stand it. The hypocrisy of it all... It's too much. In a world where we have free access to all the information we have, in a world where if you took a second to look around, you'd see how you should change to make an impact. We keep doing the same shit over and over again. How? How can I excuse you for those actions? When you act high and mighty, yet you fail at it yourself? How is this even possible? Yet you ask me for something more, when you can't even do the little I do for you... That 'hello', 'good night', 'have a nice day'... If you can't do at least that... Why should I care for anything else from you?

This is the part where instead of bitching, I'm giving you an alternative, a solution. Because I still believe in the world that was described at the beginning of this post. So, if you at any point didn't say a 'hello', 'please', 'thank you', or if you acted rude, were a cunt or attacked someone for no reason... Stop it, take a fucking second to think about what you're saying or how you are acting. If you for some reason can't, go to therapy, get help, talk to your friends about this. Or find new friends if they are the problem. If you want to help your friends, send them this link.

My Motivation

I believe that everyone has some motivation when it comes to their choice in acting a certain way, so here are mine.

my motivation.jpg

We all want something, we all have desires. Things we don't agree with or want to change, something that might bothers us or see unfit for the world that we live in. Or just maybe there are things that stand in our way, in what we want and thing we ought to achieve. So we tear through others, we rig the system in our favor, we manipulate others to achieve our own goal and happiness. What a sad, pathetic thing to do. While for some this might seem as a sign of power and determination, I see it as a move of a coward that has no dignity. Yet I'm not one to talk, I can't. This whole thing about being powerful without a righteous claim to it, only by the law of the jungle seems unfit. Especially for the species that regards itself to be intelligent, sociable and above all else. So then, what is my motivation? What do I desire? What do I want to achieve? How do I want to achieve it?

My motivation is freedom, and I am not talking about the freedom that any citizen thinks he has in a democratic country. I am talking about doing whatever I want and affording whatever I desire, not being held down and held back by anything. I want to be able. This might sound crazy since I have no disability, and people would interpret things in such way that they can find something inherently wrong with anything. As for the other two questions, the answer is pretty simple. I want a better world, I want better education for everyone. I want a better quality of life, I want equality, I want more stability and more thoughtful people. And for the how, well that's a bit more complicated.

I want to write, to continue writing. I want to publish as many books as I can and write them all in a week if possible. Yet here we have the first problem, I cannot do that. I work because I have to work, I study because I have to study, I have to do these things that keep me trapped from what I want to do full time and renounce the rest. So thus my motivation and what do I desire becomes much more clearer. As to why I want what I want to achieve, the motive is simple enough. I'm an idealist, not to be confused with a perfectionist, a perfectionist will do everything in their power to make it as it was asked or as it is supposed to be in the system that is in place. An idealist on the other hand is someone that tries to find ways to improve the environment around him and for others, always in search for an ideal. So in order to do what I want to achieve, I want to give people other options, I want them to think, to see outside the box. Even if I am prone to failure from the very beginning, due to the modern human's mindset. I want others to be free, like I want to be free, I don't wish others to crumble at my feet. I want to give others like me the same chance and inspire them to take it and push ahead.

I am not a coward nor am I brave, I just might be stupid enough to try and do something else. This dude does not want to abide.

I Envy

We all envy, more or less. Not everyone's admitting to it, but we all do it.

I envy.jpg

Even I envy, but I would never envy people that are truly intelligent and exceptional or gifted and talented or people that work honestly to get to their dream. I could never envy those type of people, if I would, I would probably hate myself for it. And even so why would I envy them? For being gifted, intelligent, beautiful, talented or hard working. Somewhere or somehow they were lucky enough that their genetic code developed a great person and I can't envy that, because all I want to do is cheer them on. But like I said, I do envy, because I'm no exception to the rule. And how can I not envy? How can I not be angry? But you surely ask yourself who is it that I'm envious about? Well, you see, I envy the stupid, I envy the ignorant, seeing them smile with no problems at all, doing whatever they are told. I envy them for not asking questions and annoying everyone, I envy the fact that they don't have a consciousness and they just make mistakes with no regrets. I envy this power they have to live with no regard to others soul or inconvenience or making decisions with no information and by the end getting free of consequences for their mistakes. How can I not envy something like that, I wish I was stupid and live just like them, but I just simply can't enjoy the heart break or suffering of others so let's see who are the others.

Well I envy the rich man/woman that didn't do anything to ear the wealth, I envy and hate him, for not working for his money and yet he gets to enjoy life like he worked for generations. I hate that he's proud like a lion after fucking a horde of females, even though all he did was masturbate to 80 gigs of porn. His high and mighty even though he doesn't know how to raise a finger, how can I not envy someone that lives on clouds with no one bothering him? I also envy the douchebag/whore. that uses people for their own favor, I mean fucking with people just to get money or just because you thought it was funny. Man, I wish I could do that, to have no regard for someone else and just go ahead and create more whores or douchebags. Or make them feel guilty or hate themselves, I wish I could do that. To fuck endlessly, now why wouldn't I envy a douchebag/whore?

And last but not least I envy the liar, the man that speaks fairy tales and makes people believe in them. This is the one I envy the most, the one that lies and never get's caught. He's the one that's telling you, you're free, but on the other hand you got to pay off your fee. How can I not envy a man that with a straight face can sell you, your own person and value, and tells you that it was your own decision, when you signed you agreed that you're no longer free. The person that makes slavery sound okay, and freedom sound like terrorism and pain. I envy the liar, I envy him the most, he controls the stupid, the douchebag, the rich and the poor. But mostly I envy him because he enslaved the brave and the bold. Those exceptionally intelligent, those beautiful and gifted, and lastly those that don't deserve it the most, those hard working are those that are losing the most. I envy all of the above, I cannot help it, who would've thought that I could envy almost everyone in this world? But just like I envy them, someone out there is envious of me, and why shouldn't they be? We all envy by our standards, from what we would like, to what we would do if we were them.

We see all the South Park characters in the Hall, except Randy. There is a big murmur, everyone is talking and is upset.

MAYOR MCDANIELS

CARTMAN

Oh good, here we go again.

KYLE

Shut up, asshole.

STEPHEN STOTCH

Ever since we got rid of all the ads, we only got real, authentic news.

MAYOR MCDANIELS

Listen here. Nothing is happening, there is no doomsday, there is nothing to be afraid. So go home and do not panic.

SHEILA BROFLOVSKI

And why should we listen to you? Every time we were on the brink of an apocalypse you were nowhere to be found.

STEPHEN STOTCH

Exactly.

WIDE SHOT

Murmur starts again in the City Hall.

KENNY

Muffled (Is that Butters?)

CARTMAN

Not now, Kenny.

THE CAMERA PANS FROM THE FOUR BOYS TO STEPHEN STOTCH AND BUTTERS, WHERE WE SEE STEPHEN ANGRY TOWARDS BUTTERS. LOOKING DOWN ON HIM AND GESTURING. WITH LINDA NEXT TO HIM ON THE VERGE OF CRYING.

MEDIUM SHOT

STEPHEN STOTCH

How dare you run away from home, leaving only a note that you’re going to visit your girlfriend in Canada? Are you mad? You are grounded for four weeks.

BUTTERS

Grounded my fucking ass.

STEPHEN STOTCH

What did you just say, young man?

BUTTERS

Go piss on your own balls.

Butters spits on his father (Stephen) and goes towards the four boys.

MEDIUM-LONG SHOT

STEPHEN STOTCH

Butters you get back here! Butters! Butters! You are grounded until you’re 30!

LINDA STOTCH

Let him be, Stephen. We lost him again.

Linda and Stephen start crying.

THE CAMERA FOLLOWS BUTTERS AS HE GOES TOWARDS THE BOYS.

KENNY

Muffled (Guys, guys.)

CARTMAN

Not now, Kenny.

WE SEE BUTTERS ARRIVING NEXT TO THE BOYS.

KYLE

Butters? Weren’t you supposed to be in Canada?

BUTTERS

Right, right... Canada, sure... No, I came back early.

CARTMAN

What? Were you missing your daddy and mommy? Were you afraid there alone?

BUTTERS

Yeah, sure. Whatever you say.

STAN

Are you okay, dude?

BUTTERS

Yeah, yeah, this is boring, I am going.

KYLE

See you later.

BUTTERS

Mhm. Sure.

BUTTERS EXISTS THE SCENE ON THE LEFT.

KENNY

Muffled (That isn’t Butters.)

KYLE

What are you talking about?

KENNY

Muffled (He spit on his father)

KYLE

No he didn’t.

STAN

But what if, what Kenny is saying is true?

CARTMAN

Ahahahaha. You guys are hilarious. Butters, right. And I am a filthy Jew.

KYLE

Cartman, shut up.

STAN

But what if Butters snapped?

KYLE

What do you mean? He snapped.

KENNY

Muffled (Like for, example the whole fucking last twenty seasons.)

STAN

Kenny is right.

KYLE

What are you guys talking about?

STAN

Let’s just follow him.

CUT TO:

INT. MAYOR’S OFFICE

CLOSE UP SHOT OF THE MAYOR’S FACE

MAYOR MCDANIELS

What is wrong with these people? I swear to God, I don’t know how we survived for so long.

THE CAMERA ZOOMS OUT FROM HER FACE TO REVEAL PUBLIC OFFICE WORKERS RUNNING AROUND WITH FOLDERS WITH FACTS AND ALTERNATIVE FACTS WRITTEN ON THEM.

OFFICE WORKER NO.1

Mayor, where should we put these files?

MAYOR MCDANIELS

Who cares, it’s all the same now, isn’t it? With that motherfucking Garrison now as president, it doesn’t matter. Someone better get me some schnapps.

ANOTHER OFFICE WORKER BURSTS THROUGH THE DOOR LOOKING VERY DISTRESED

OFFICE WORKER D

I have bad news, Ms. Mayor. It’s happening.

CUT TO:

EXT. THE BOYS ARE FOLLOWING BUTTERS ON HIS ADVENTURE THROUGH SOUTH PARK STREETS

A MEDIUM CLOSE SHOT OF THE BOYS

KYLE

So what do you think he’s doing here?

CARTMAN

Maybe he came here to buy some penis.

KENNY

Muffled (Hahaha)

KYLE

That’s so stupid, even for you.

THE CAMERA PANS AWAY FROM THE BOYS AND WE SEE AN OLD MAN WITH A WHITE BEARD APPROACHING BUTTERS AND GIVING HIM SOMETHING THAT NO ONE CAN FIGURE OUT. AFTER WHICH IT GOES BACK TO THE BOYS TALKING.

STAN

Who was that?

KYLE

I don’t know, man. But he looked familiar.

STAN

Let’s keep following him.

KENNY

Muffled (Told you that this isn’t our Butters)

CUT TO:

EXT. STREET

The boys keep stalking Butters as he meets with what seems to be a blonde woman with an unnatural, unfitting head for her body. And a bit later with a very good looking version of Cartman. As Cartman sees this, he goes to confront Butters.

CARTMAN

Hey! Who was that?

BUTTERS

Why do you care? Go eat some KFC or MC or something to grow your big bones.

CARTMAN

You asshole. Tell me, who was that?

BUTTERS

Do. Not. Make. Me. Angry. You pussy.

CARTMAN

That’s it. We’re doing this.

Cartman throws his red jacket on the street. And gets in a fighting stance.

THE CAMERA PANS OVER TO KENNY, STAN AND KYLE AS THEY STAY AWAY AND WATCH FROM A BIT OF A DISTANCE CARTMAN AND BUTTERS.

STAN

Aren’t we going to do anything?

KYLE

What? Why would we? Let him be. Let’s just watch this time.

THE CAMERA PANS BACK OVER TO CARTMAN AND BUTTERS. INTENSE MUSIC STARTS AS THEY ARE ABOUT TO FIGHT.

Cartman tries to punch Butters, as he dodges, Cartman falls on his belly. Cartman gets up, and goes again for another punch at Butters. Butters dodges, trips Cartman, he falls on his back. Cartman is trying to get back up. But when he does, Butters is already gone. The three boys come to see Cartman Standing and crying.

KENNY

Muffled (Are you okay?)

CARTMAN

Y-y-yes.

Cartman slowly recovers and they start searching for Butters again.

KYLE

It’s so weird. He usually cries and goes home, but now this.

STAN

I know dude. Maybe he finally grew up.

KYLE

Yeah, maybe him having a girlfriend made him grow up.

CUT TO:

INT. MAYOR’S OFFICE

The camera is on the mayor while she is waiting for someone to pick up.

MEDIUM SHOT

MAYOR MCDANIELS

Come on, pick up. Pick up.

OFFICE WORKER NO.2

Why isn’t he picking up?

THE SCREEN IS SPLIT IN TWO IN ORDER TO SEE THE TWO SIDES TALKING.

PRESIDENT GARRISON

Hello? This is the White House, I swear to god, if you’re Kim Jon Un again, I’m gonna nuke your fatass.

MAYOR MCDANIELS

No. It’s me Mr. Garrison.

PRESIDENT GARRISON

Oh, it’s you. What do you want?

MAYOR MCDANIELS

It’s happening. Again. We need your help.

PRESIDENT GARRISON

I don’t want to. If you want any help talk to Steve.

MAYOR MCDANIELS

Please, President Garrison. They are here.

PRESIDENT GARRISON

I told you, I do not care. Here, talk to Stevie.

MAYOR MCDANIELS

No... Wait

STEVE BANNON

Hello, who is this?

MAYOR MCDANIELS

Hello, Mr. President. I am the Mayor of South Park. And we need your help with something very important.

CUT TO:

EXT. STREET

THE BOYS ARE STILL FOLLOWING BUTTERS, AS BUTTERS MEETS WITH DIFFERENT PEOPLE TO EXCHANGE THINGS.

KYLE

What the fuck is he doing? Who are those people?

STAN

I don’t know, but this isn’t normal.

CARTMAN

We’ve been tracking this young man that turned bad. Bad for money? Bad for what? It was a mystery, a mystery this detective knew he had to solve.

KENNY

Muffled (Together with his trusted friend they went and investigated. When I saw a woman with beautiful breasts across the street I had to run towards her.)

CARTMAN

What?

THE CAMERA TRACKS KENNY AS HE RUNS TOWARDS A WOMAN ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD. BUT BEFORE HE COULD GET TO HER, HE IS HIT BY CAITLYN JENNER.

STAN

Oh my god, they killed Kenny.

KYLE

You bastards!

CARTMAN

And so, my dear partner, was killed.

KYLE

Can’t you have a little bit of respect for him and stop narrating? We’re not in a film noir.

CARTMAN

Suck my balls Kyle. Kenny was my partner, not yours. I lost a dear friend today. We should have solved this case together.

KYLE

Just shut up.

STAN

Look over there!

THE CAMERA PANS TOWARDS BUTTERS AND A MAN.

CARTMAN

Isn’t that...

KYLE

No, it can’t be...

STAN

But it is...

SUDDENLY AN ALARM STARTS TO SOUND IN THE WHOLE CITY. AS THE CAMERA MOVES TO AN ESTABLISHING SHOT OF THE CITY AND GOES BACK TO THE KIDS.

KYLE

What’s happening? What’s this alarm for?

THE MAYOR VOICE IS HEARD OVER THE ALARM

MAYOR MCDANIELS (V.O.)

Dear citizens of South Park. As of this moment, the city is under lock. No one goes in or out. Until we figure out who is from here and who is from Northern Park. So do not trust anyone, they could be a Northerner.

KYLE

Wait, what?

STAN

This makes no sense. What is a Northerner?

KYLE

Like Canadians? Or what?

MAYOR MCDANIELS (V.O.)

No, not like Canadians, like from Northern Park. The opposite of South Park, how stupid are you people?

Is what the Mayor said on the announcement over the alarm.

CUT TO:

INT. WINE BAR

MEDIUM-LONG SHOT

Randy Marsh is enjoying a glass of Sauvignon Blanc wine, watching the TV.

TV NEWSCASTER TOM

Welcome back to the 5 o’clock news. The Mayor of South Park just announced that we are on lock down. Again. Due to Northerners infiltrating the South Park community. The Mayor told us that President Bannon is sending help to eradicate the problem.

RANDY

Yeah, sure. God damn it.

PC Principal joins Randy.

PC PRINCIPAL

We shouldn’t let this be. You know that, right?

RANDY

I am tired of it. It’s tiring.

PC PRINCIPAL

But that’s exactly what they want from you. To be tired, to not think. That’s what they want from all of us. They want to divide us. They want to divide those from the North and the South. And this is the God damn United States of America.

RANDY

We’re in ‘Murica! Fuck yeah!

PC PRINCIPAL

So what do you say? Shall we do this?

RANDY

Yes.

CUT TO:

INT - WHITE HOUSE CONFERENCE ROOM

ESTABLISHING SHOT OF THE CONFERENCE ROOM. WITH THE CORESPONDENT AT THE PODIUM STARTING THE CONFERENCE.

CHARLIE SHEEN

Shut up, people! We’re here today because we’re winning. We’re winning so much, you have no idea. For example, today our President signed another executive order regarding the ban on wigs, toupees and hay hair. Also today President St.. Trump decided that we’re about to nuke South Park. Or Northern Park, whichever, doesn’t matter. The idea is that we’re going to win whatever is there to win. So we have to stay positive in this regard. Also, people still love our President, because he is winning, like you have no idea. And that is the truth. Any other questions?

JOURNALIST 1

Yes. Can I ask a question?

CHARLIE SHEEN

That was a question. Another question? No? Okay.

CUT TO:

EXT. STREET OF SOUTH PARK

MEDIUM SHOT

KYLE

What is happening? Why are people running like crazy on the street?

STAN

I don’t know, man. But it’s freaking me out.

RANDY

Staaaan... Staaaan...

STAN

Dad? Dad? Where are you?

THE CAMERA PANS TOWARDS RANDY AS HE RUNS TO STAN.

RANDY

Oh thank god you’re okay.

STAN

Dad, what’s happening?

RANDY

It’s bad, it’s really bad. These people want to drive us apart.

STAN

Who are these people?

RANDY

They are bad people. We once fought them, now they are back.

STAN

What are you talking about?

RANDY

There’s no time for that here, let’s get somewhere safe.

STAN

Where are we going?

RANDY

At our home, in the basement. That’s where everyone gathered around.

CUT TO:

INT. BASEMENT OF THE MARSH HOUSE

LONG ESTABLISHING SHOT

The three boys and Randy make their entrance. As PC Principal and others were waiting for Randy to return.

MEDIUM SHOT

RANDY

We’re back. It’s all madness outside.

KYLE

What’s happening?

PC PRINCIPAL

They want to keep the people of South Park separated and intolerant to the outside world. They don’t want us, to let other people in our community.

KYLE

Who are these people? You keep talking about these people, but who are they? And what the fuck are Northerners?

RANDY

It’s okay, Stan. We’re here. We will fight back.

PC PRINCIPAL

Northerners are something we thought we wouldn’t see anymore.

RANDY

You see kids, years ago, more specifically in the 60’s, there were things that we did. Things that we can’t really explain. And the government took advantage of this.

CUT TO:

EXT. FLASHBACK TO THE 60’S

We see an establishing shot of a city named Central Park, Colorado. And we start hearing Randy narrating.

RANDY (V.O.)

When we were your age, our parents were very high. So no one knew what we were doing. And no one cared, we were free as butterflies looking for some poon. There were the four of us. Me, Gerald, Chef and Stuart McCormick. We were the coolest kids in the South Park elementary. Everyone was fearing us.

As Randy narrates his story, the flashback shows the reality of the situation. (The exact opposite of what he is narrating. Except their parents getting high on acid, the four protagonists of this flashback and the parents leaving for Woodstock)

RANDY (V.O.)

All the girls were really into us. We were the smartest of them all. We had respect, no one ever dared touching us, not even the adults.

SHARON MARSH

Randy, get going with the story.

RANDY (V.O.)

But one weekend in August 1969, all the adults disappeared. No one knows what happened. Everyone was leaving happily, when they came back, those people change. A lot. Most of them we couldn’t recognize. When we asked them what happened, no one remembered anything. A week later, for some reason, everyone in town was fighting. Long story short, Central Park was divided in two. They signed a treaty and build the mountains around us, to keep each other apart.

FADE IN:

BACK TO THE BASEMENT, PRESENT DAY

STAN

But how come we never heard about this?

PC PRINCIPAL

Because people ,like the lying media, don’t want us to know about these things.

KYLE

Wait, what?

CARTMAN

That’s it, I’m going home. Screw this.

KENNY

Muffled (Yeah, fuck this place.)

KYLE

Kenny, you’re back. How?

KENNY

Muffled (Oh not this bullshit again.)

PC PRINCIPAL

Like I was saying! The media wants us divided, when the President is out there fighting for truth.

STAN

But didn’t Mr. Garrison say fuck’em all to death?

PC PRINCIPAL

But that’s what they want you to think. It’s all fake, it always was.

RANDY

Can’t you see Stan? We were divided for so many years, now finally they found their way back here, where they belong. With us.

STAN

Then why did the Mayor say that we shouldn’t trust anyone? That they might have replaced people from South Park?

RANDY

Oh, well, something about cloning experiments that the government did on us in the 60’s.

STAN

Wait what?

PC PRINCIPAL

We don’t have time, we need to solve this, now.

RANDY

So, does everyone have their phones, right?

All the characters respond in a unison.

ALL THE CHARACTERS

Yes!

RANDY

Good. Now, everyone open your Airbnb app.

STAN

Wait, what?

RANDY

You too Stan.

STAN

But why?

PC PRINCIPAL

Respect your father and do as he says. Now open your god damn Airbnb app before I beat some sense into you.

RANDY

Now we all should start accepting Northerners in your homes.

STAN

But why?

RANDY

Can’t you see, Stan? The only way to do this, is inclusion.

PC PRINCIPAL

If we include those that were banished back then, we might have finally a chance to do right what those before us did wrong.

RANDY

And how else can we do it? We have to let them in hour homes. That’s what happened when that one guy let Jesus to be born in his barn. And so should we do.

KYLE

Oh god.

CUT TO:

INT. MAYOR’S OFFICE

ESTABLISHING SHOT OF THE OFFICE

The Mayor’s office is empty, with only the Mayor in her chair, drinking.

MAYOR MCDANIELS

How fucking great is this? If a nuke is our end, well then fuck them.

OFFICE WORKER D

Ms. Mayor, something horrible is happening. All the people of South Park have vanished. No one knows anything about anyone. And it seems that a large amount of Northerners are moving into Airbnb’s all over South Park. What are we supposed to be doing? There are doppelgangers everywhere.

CUT TO:

INT. BASEMENT OF THE MARSH HOUSE

We see the characters cheering as people move in their Airbnb’s.

STAN

Dad... Daaaaad... DAD!

RANDY

What?

STAN

It says on the internet that there’s a nuke heading towards South Park. What are we going to do?

RANDY

A nuke?

Everyone in the room starts to panic as Randy confirms by nodding after searching on his own phone if it is in fact true.

PC PRINCIPAL

Everybody calm down. We’re gonna survive.

SHEILA BROFLOVSKI

How? There’s a nuke heading for us.

RANDY

I know. Remember the bus we built a few years back? Let’s all get into that bus and go the Northern Park.

PC PRINCIPAL

But we can’t let people die here. We need to warn them too.

RANDY

But there won’t be enough space left on that bus. It’s either them, or us. We did our part and let them back here. Now they should show some gratitude and let us take their place.

WIDE SHOT

ALL THE CHARACTERS

Yeah.

MEDIUM SHOT

KYLE

I’d better call Cartman and tell him about this.

RANDY

Okay people, we’re aiming for that bus. Let’s go.

CUT TO:

EXT. RANDY’S HOUSE

WIDE SHOT

On the street we see a lot of chaos, we see doppelgangers running into each other and freaking out even more. We see other doppelgangers starting to make out in the middle of the street. As the siren from the alarm is still sounding through the city. In their efforts to get to the bus, our cast start fighting people in a montage of about 20 seconds long. Until the bus appears and stops in front of them and killing Kenny, again.

STAN

Oh my god, they killed Kenny. Again?

KYLE

You bastards.

The bus doors open and inside the Mayor is with Cartman, inviting them in.

KYLE (CONT’D)

How is this possible?

CARTMAN

I heard about the nuke and was heading towards the bus, when I met the Mayor here running like crazy trying to find you guys.

SHEILA BROFLOVSKI

You do care.

MAYOR MCDANIELS

Of course I care, you morons. Now let’s get out of here and let’s make Northern Park our new South Park.

RANDY

PC Principal, come on, you have to come with us. We need you.

PC PRINCIPAL

No you don’t anymore. We have a great president, you guys changed, this all changed for the better. But for me, there’s still something to do here, some people to help. You go, I’ll stay behind.

RANDY

No, PC Principal... No!

STAN

Let’s go, dad.

RANDY

PC forever!

PC PRINCIPAL

PC forever. Now go.

We see PC Principal turning away and the doors to the bus closing, as Aerosmith’s I don’t wanna miss a thing starts playing.

CUT TO:

EXT. STREET OF SOUTH PARK

WIDE SHOT

PC Principal starts running and gathering people around him and guides them towards the Whole Foods for protection.

CUT TO:

EXT. STREET

LONG SHOT

We see the bus drive through duplicates, killing many of them. Until Butters puts himself on the street with the oncoming bus, takes out a gun and shoots, he misses the first shot. Yet he hits duplicate yellow hoodie Kenny in the dick, he dies. Then he shoots a second time and he shoots the tires out. The bus stops. Everyone gets off and is very agitated and angry.

MEDIUM SHOT

STEPHEN STOTCH

Butters. What are you doing? We were supposed to escape. Why did you stop us?

BUTTERS

No one make a move or I will shoot people. Understood?

CARTMAN

Yeah, seriously, don’t move, last time he shot like four guys in the dick. You don’t shoot people in the dick, Butters! It’s weak.

STEPHEN STOTCH

Tell me Butters, why are you doing this?

BUTTERS

I am not your Butters. I’m a 34 year old Northerner named Butters. And I know what you did to my parents, I am here to pay all you motherfuckers back for what you did then.

RANDY

Yeah right. You and what army?

STAN

Dad, please no.

KYLE

Oh god.

BUTTERS

I am glad you asked.

WIDE SHOT

SUDDENLY FROM SOME PLACES APPEAR THE BLONDE LADY WITH A WEIRD HEAD, THE WHITE BEARDED MAN, A FLAMBOYANT 50 SOMETHING YEAR OLD GUY AND SOME OTHER FAMILIAR FACES.

MEDIUM CLOSE SHOT

CARTMAN

God fucking damn it. I knew it.

KYLE

Britney Spears?

BRITNEY SPEARS

Barely intelligible: You guys helped get me killed, I am back for revenge.

STAN

Isn’t the bearded guy Mel Gibson? Didn’t we deal with that crazy guy?

MEL GIBSON

Why do you think I am crazy? Because I wanted you to punish me? Because I think the same way about the Jews as you guys and your dear President thinks about Muslims? HUH?! Compared to him am I really that fucking crazy? I don’t think so.

KYLE

Just fucking great.

TOM CRUISE

Don’t forget about me boys.

STAN

Yeah, glad to see you finally out of the closet.

TOM CRUISE

I’m gonna kill you little piece of shit.

RANDY

Hey, no fudge packer talks to my kid like that.

CARTMAN

Great, this is just a dumb reunion with some stupid ass forgotten celebrities.

Michael Richards, Mark Fuhrman and Scott

Oh Randy, have you forgotten about us?

RANDY

What the fuck?

KYLE

Now that’s what I call an obscure reference.

STAN

Not this one again. God damn it.

MICHAEL RICHARDS

You forgot about us, nigger guy? You all PC now?

STAN

Why is this happening?

RANDY

God damn it.

CARTMAN

So? That’s it Butters? That’s all you have?

BUTTERS

Yeah. Pretty much.

CARTMAN

Weak, brah.

BUTTERS

Oh, I almost forgot. Doctor, please join us.

KYLE

Doctor? Who?

DR. DAVID NELSON

I am back to take my revenge.

CARTMAN

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

DR. DAVID NELSON

You see, words are like bullets, and now I will be a bullet.

CARTMAN

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha... Who thought this was a great idea?

TOM CRUISE

I am so done with this, let’s end it.

WIDE LONG SHOT

In the style of Captain America Civil War, Zombieland and Gangs of New York, a battle starts between the two sides. We see Tom Cruise fighting Randy Marsh, Britney Spears fighting Sharon Marsh. Dr. David Nelson is fighting Cartman, Mel Gibson is fighting Kyle and Stan for their twenty dollars. The trio of Michael Richards, Mark Fuhrman and Scott are fighting the McCormick family and Butters is fighting the Mayor. The rest of them are fighting doppelgangers from the Northern Park that haven’t followed PC Principal.

CUT TO:

WIDE SHOT

The fight between Tom Cruise and Randy

Tom Cruise starts getting some fudge from his pockets and is throwing them towards Randy as he hops like a ballerina on the street. Randy in the style of the Matrix dodges some of the fudge, some other fudge he catches with his mouth and eats or bites off. Then Randy retaliates by taking of his shirt and getting into his drunk baseball game fighting stance. And throws himself after Cruise. Hitting a trash can, Carrot Top and a transgender transformer.

CUT TO:

Dr. David Nelson fighting Cartman.

CARTMAN

Pfft...

DR. DAVID NELSON

You won’t laugh after I am done with you.

CARTMAN

Please stop it. AHAHAHAHAHA.

In a rage Dr. David Nelson starts running towards Cartman screaming. Cartman dodges the Doctor and starts playing Matador with him. Managing to anger the Doctor more and more and making him throw himself harder and harder at Cartman. Of course he misses, hits the ground a few times, before hitting Ike and (the Doctor)falling on his ass.

CARTMAN (CONT’D)

This is way too precious. Even a baby... Ahahahahahahahahahahahahah. Please make it stop.

CUT TO:

THE FIGHT BETWEEN SHARON MARSH AND BRITNEY SPEARS

Britney starts flailing her arms around trying to hit Sharon, yet she misses with every punch. Sharon simply punches her with an uppercut in her chin. With that hit, Britney’s upper half of the head flies away and Britney drops dead, while the top of the head tries to roll away. Yet it’s stopped and stomped by Sheila Broflovski.

CUT TO:

THE FIGHT BETWEEN THE TRIO OF THE NIGGER-GUYS AND THE MCCORMICK FAMILY

The trio starts by pulling their guns out.

MEDIUM SHOT

MICHAEL RICHARDS

You think you can do something against us? You’re dead wrong.

STUART MCCORMICK

We’ll see about that, right kids?

MCCORMICK KIDS

Yeah.

MRS. MCCORMICK

I’m gonna kick yo asses. Let’s do this. We ain’t afraid of yo’s guns.

STUART MCCORMICK

That’s right honey, we have a crack pipe, beer bottle and a rifle, whatch’u gonna do about that? Nigga guys.

MICHAEL RICHARDS, MARK FUHRMAN AND SCOTT

Let’s kill them.

We hear some tires screeching, a car entering the frame and hitting the trio of nigger guys.

CUT TO:

THE FIGHT BETWEEN MEL GIBSON AND KYLE AND STAN

WIDE SHOT

Mel Gibson brings out a sword swinging it towards the two boys. But in his madness and jumping around, Mel accidently kills Carrot Top by slicing off the head of his shoulders and neck, and shrugs it off.

MEDIUM SHOT

MEL GIBSON

Oh come on boys, where you running at? I am here to be pleasured, and you’ll let me get my desired pleasures, right?

KYLE

Dude, what the fuck are we supposed to do?

STAN

I don’t know, just keep running.

CUT TO:

PC PRINCIPAL

PC Principal stops the fight between Tom Cruise and Randy by hugging Tom Cruise tightly from behind.

PC PRINCIPAL

It’s okay Tom, you’re with friends here. No one cares, you can be whoever you want and with whomever you want. And you’re not a fudge packer. It’s okay.

Tom Cruise starts crying like a baby.

TOM CRUISE

I am so sorry, I had all these emotions and feelings and stuff. I am so sorry.

PC PRINCIPAL

It’s okay buddy, it’s okay.

CUT TO:

THE FIGHT BETWEEN THE MAYOR AND BUTTERS

Butters tries to shooting Ms. Mayor, yet he misses.

VICTIM NO. 1

Oh fuck, my balls.

BUTTERS

God damn it, stay still.

Butters fires another shot and misses again, with the Mayor standing completely still.

VICTIM NO.2

Auch, shieeet. My balls. Who shoots a dude in the dick? Weak, man.

BUTTERS

You know what, this isn’t worth it.

Butters throws the gun away, gets out a knife and starts running towards the Mayor, trying to stab her. When he gets to her, the Mayor simply kicks Butters in the balls, repeatedly. Until the PC principal gets there, stop the Mayor and scolds Butters.

PC PRINCIPAL

That’s what you get for wanting to beat down on a woman in power. You shouldn’t do that, women are already prosecuted by men and the patriarchy. You see, this is a woman that lead this town to greatness. And you should respect that, not just try to take her place through violent ways, just because you’re a man.

KYLE

Wait, but didn’t PC Principal take the place of Principal Victoria?

BUTTERS

What the fuck are you talking about? This has nothing to do with that. I just want revenge for what this town did to my parents.

PC PRINCIPAL

If that is true, then what you are telling me is that you miss your parents. You’re more then welcome to South Park, you’re welcome to stay here.

BUTTERS

No, no, no, I don’t want to spend another second in this place. I’ll be back another time!!!

Butters exists on the left flipping everyone off. Then the PC Principal goes towards the “fight” between the Doctor and Cartman. Where Cartman is still laughing his ass off. And the Doctor is on Cartman trying to hit him.

CARTMAN

Please stop! AHAHAHAHAHAHA! It tickles, NO! HAHAHAHA.

When the PC Principal arrives he takes the Doctor off of Cartman and starts scolding him.

PC PRINCIPAL

Doctor Nelson, you’re better than this. You see, words are like bullets, if you let them pass through you, they won’t affect you.

DR. DAVID NELSON

What do you know about being ridiculed by this fatass.

PC PRINCIPAL

Hey, it’s not okay to call Cartman fat, he has a disorder. There are many people in this country suffering from his disorder. And you’re in no special position to call names just because you’re a little person.

Cartman is giggling behind PC Principal’s back this whole time.

DR. DAVID NELSON

I... I just...

PC PRINCIPAL

I know, I know.

Dr. David Nelson starts crying and running before getting hit by Caitlyn Jenner. As she gets out of the car she says.

CAITLYN JENNER

What’s up, buckaroos?

KYLE

Caitlyn Jenner? Why are you here?

CAITLYN JENNER

Because I have great news. The President won’t nuke South Park.

RANDY

That’s great news. Hear that honey?

KYLE

How come?

CAITLYN JENNER

Let’s just say he found a bigger threat to deal with.

KYLE

Which is?

CAITLYN JENNER

The ban on Airbnb and Whole Foods.

RANDY

But why?

CAITLYN JENNER

Because this has gotten way too gay.

WIDE LONG SHOT

PC Principal starts shaking in anger. Caitlyn Jenner gets back in her car, drives off and over Carrot Top again. While the rest remain shocked at Garrison’s decision. Suddenly the real Butters makes his way into the scene.

BUTTERS

Hey, guys. Did I miss anything?

Trapped: Autumn Genres

When people ask me what genre the Trapped: books are, I do not know what to tell them. So here's a short descriptions fitting for genres Trapped: Autumn might fit in.

trappedandroidAutumn.jpg

Horror/Thriller:

A student is followed by a myth part of the legends. As he fights his way through what he thinks it's unfair, all for a better life. Fall gets to him as he has to escape what seems to be a never ending nightmare. As he gets tortured over and over and over and over and over again. He is put to trial as he sees control slip away from him, his relationship crashing, his body decaying and mind slipping. John is put to observe his own behavior and trying to escape the hell he is stuck in. Repeating it week after week after week.

Mystery:

John's taken away, losing control over his own body. He has to uncover the mystery that looms in the darkness he is being held in. He must figure out a way to get back control as his life is falling apart. Being stuck observing his own actions, fighting through the trails put before him, his story only gets more complicated by the minute. Fearing that death might be upon him.

Supernatural/Magical Realism/Mythology:

When John loses control over his own body, he has to win the fight against a myth that was thought to be part of legends. All in order to save his own life, his relationship and his sanity against this myth brought down from legends. A world where gods roam the streets with mankind and punishment might be definitive. John must fight it all on his own, all while having and out of body experience and observing his own actions without any control.

Comedy:

Follow a student struggling with his daily life as he screws his relationship and life over. And when a legend comes into play, it all goes down hill for him. Fighting a legend, while being stuck out of his own body, this egotistical and misunderstood student must face his real self in order to escape. All to find the answer to the question of "What would you do and think of yourself if you were able to be outside of your own body and observe it?"

Satire:

Read all about John, a student with a major in English literature, that simply can't hold his thoughts and life together. A new take on Shakespeare, the whole superior education, the stuck up writers and the dumb readers. A story so deep you can't even reach it, not even if you go elbow deep. As this story takes you through gods, outdated memes and references. Together with John try enjoying a sad romantic story which you can probably predict after reading the first 119 pages. It's a lit story fam.

Romantic:

As the goddess of love, fertility and war tries teaching John a lesson. His relationship crumbles, as he uses May and is blind to affection and reason. A fairy tale gone wrong, a broken heart in need of love and a messy mind in need of peace. Will the love between John and May prove to be real or just another tragedy?

Dramedy:

A bittersweet fairy tale between two students that is put to challenge by something otherworldly. As both May and John drag their love through dirt and pulling each other for an ending. Yet it all depends on his reactions, her patience and their durability as a couple. Since nothing is easy in love, with the addition of this something otherworldly it all gets to be more complicated than it should.

Classic:

John is touched by the touch of a god. The world around him falls in Autumn as he has to fight the perpetual repetition given by the blessed touch of that spiritual entity, Another kind of a world and of storytelling in the classic setting of two star-crossed faiths develop and may just crash.

Psychological:

Follow the broken mind of a student in search for answers to the mystery that has befallen him. Observe how his mind works around the predicaments he has to face. From a long forgotten legend to his interpersonal relationships with his colleagues and his girlfriend. A new perspective on the self and what it means to have a grip and understanding on your own personality and thought process. Revealing the hypocrisies and flaws of a student struggling to cope with his inability to grasp the reality of the situation. As he is stuck observing his every move and with his life on the line, being pressured into making sense of the trial he is put on.

Contemporary Narrative Mock Epic

I have no idea how to phrase the description for this, but it sure does sound interesting if you're a literary student and you know what it means.

Trapped: Autumn - The Experience

Autumn.jpg

So, I finished writing the book some time ago. Writing this book was an amazing experience. Even if I did so during my 12 hour shift job, and little free time. Considering that until October, we don't start the college year here. I have to say that very few things actually gave me the feeling that I have right now, while waiting to get confirmation on the date of the publication. While doing so, I also started writing the second book. And I have to admit that it is harder to write new characters and a whole new story. Especially when you are so accustomed with the events and characters of the previous book. I want to finish writing this second book before October even starts, so that I can focus on college and graduating.

Now onto the experience as a whole. If I hadn't had this story planned out already, it would have taken me a lot longer than it did. Now with that said, the actual toughest parts in writing this book were the lack of usual tropes one finds in books, the lack of narration, the transition from one thing to the next and lastly it would be to keep everything in order.

I am going to take each thing on its own:

Lack of usual tropes found in books and lack of narration:

  • Starting with the lack of narration, I chose not to use any narration in order for the reader to understand the thoughts of the protagonist better.
  • Lack of description: I wanted to put the reader in the position of a cameraman, god or whatever metaphor you like, just so you can follow the thoughts, actions and have your own judgment of the of the story, characters and the book.
  • Lack of treating the reader as a dumbass: I wanted the reader to choose for himself/herself why this is happening, what is the reason behind the things the protagonist goes through, what meanings the book has, what they see in this story as readers.
  • The unusual style: The reason the book seems messy, it has some grammatical mistakes or that it doesn't seem coherent, is the fact that as a reader you follow the thoughts, conversations and acts of a person. It should be expected to be messy, to be incoherent, to jump all around. The conversations to be sudden, to be a bit random and nonsensical. Since if you were to transcribe a week of your life into a book, complete with your thoughts, conversations and actions, wouldn't be exactly a coherent story that has a clear ending. So in this regard I chose a rather unusual style to write the book.
  • Transition, from one thing to the next: When you have a story all planned out in your head it can get tricky. Because you know the points your story has to hit before getting to the last page, yet when you finish making one point... It can be rather hard to get to the next point with a smooth transition. So these transition kind of gave me the writers block, not for very long, considering the short amount of time in which I wrote this book.
  • Keeping everything in order: I swear that if I wouldn't get tired and need sleep, I would write constantly. But I do get tired and sleepy, so when I had to take a break to sleep or because I had to do work at work, keeping track of everything in the book and their order got tricky. So I had to revisit previous chapters, so that I wouldn't repeat the same thing again, or to make sure that what I started writing was a continuation of where I had left of, and it wouldn't jump from a thing to the other one without context or without it being complete.

Now I have to say that for a guy like me, that was lost and still feels lost sometimes, due to the uncertainty of his future, I am really proud I could take this first step towards my dream and that hopefully I could continue it. So for anyone reading this blog or purchasing the book when it comes out. Thank you.

And for the long time readers of my blog and the stories I have published here, I have to say that I hope you will like what I did in this book and thank you very much for being there since 2010.

Trapped: Autumn Official Release

autumnKDP2.jpg

This is my book. Trapped: Autumn, a story that I chose to put inside the Magical Realism genre. Since it's a mix of everything that is deeply grounded in reality, with references to real people, real events, real celebrities and so on and so forth. The tagline of the book, the descriptions used to market this book describe the book perfectly without giving too much away, something that is practiced too often today when it comes to books and movies. What I wanted to do is attract readers with this simple premise and idea, what would your opinion of yourself be from the same perspective you have on other people? That without giving up any of the surprises hidden inside the book.

Now, how does it feel to be published and achieve a dream? Terrifying, it's haunting, all the joy dissipates into nothing, knowing that now you took the first step. From now on you have to do your best to keep at it and to try to live your dream, to perfect your dream. People will judge you for your every word, they will have expectations from you and your works and you have to live up to them.

If you followed the previous posts about this book, this journey of being published, then I don't really have to add a lot. So I want to give you a taste of something you can find inside the books. A short story you can find in the book, a story that I wrote and are part of the plot of this book. This story also showcases why this book is a mixture of genres. So please enjoy:

The boy who cried

We’ve all heard the story of the boy who cried wolf once too many times, we all know the lesson that was brought with it, but not many know the story of the boy who cried. What did the boy cry? The boy cried that he was a man, the boy cried that it was unfair, the boy cried that nothing matters. The boy that cried had a house, knew his parents and had shoes, the boy that cried had his own money he could plow through. Yet he kept complaining, the people told him that that’s how the world works, the people cared when he cried a second time. Like the boy who cried wolf by the time he was a man and cried a third time, no one showed him any concern or gave him any attention. The boy kept weeping and they started mocking him, the boy cried and no one listened. Who would have thought that this could happen? That no one would care about someone that cried, that something won’t happen if he cried the loudest. Yet one night, like in a Christmas Story, there was a ghost that came to see the childish man that couldn’t stop crying. The first ghost took him to show his past, his alternative past that is. He was shown a world where he was motherless, he was penniless, he was powerless and by the age of 18 in prison. He showed him the horrific acts he had done to others, how he made his suffering into hate and his hate into suffering for others. The ghost told him that by the age of 21 he would have been killed in prison because he had killed another inmate for some cigarettes. A second later after that he was transported back to his bed, another second later a second ghost came and took him. He was shaken but in fear of what the ghost had to show him this time, since the ghost that came before showed him enough horror. The ghost took him to a place of dark, with no light and nothing bright. He took this man to a place of fear, a place without him to be near. It showed him that the world was going on when he wasn’t around, it showed him what would happen if he’d be gone. That no one cared and no one cried, nor for him, nor for this world. The man was shocked by the indifference of the world, the boy started crying out of spite and despair. This was the ghost of present and future, as he showed a world with him if he were dead now and how it will be once he’ll be. So the story keeps unfolding, zapped back into his room. The second ghost had disappeared, the three ghost were thinking and talking, if the boy had had enough. If he really understood, what upon him was bestowed. Taking a closer look at him, they saw that it wasn’t clear, they saw him cry some more and more. They thought the even though he had the body of a man, he was still a boy inside, a boy that needed to grow up. So the third ghost had an idea, he went ahead and disappeared. In the boys room he reappeared, took him to a theater to show him a movie. The boy was happy that this time he shouldn’t fear, since he wouldn’t be dead, he wouldn’t be starved, he would still have both his arms. The film started and it showed, a simple comparison between one man and him. They both had similar lives, both had parents, both had a home. But now this is the part where the man that was compared to him was shown beaten, deprived of food, deprived of money and of a job, the man was in despair as no one gave a hoot. That man never cried, no matter what happened he stood proud and tall, compared to him he where cried when he got a splinter. That boy worked, he never complained, by the time he was a man they compared him to a force of nature. He was respected for his dedication, his stature and the fact that his past and hurdles never stopped him. Where the man was showed how pathetic he was, this time it seemed that the boy that cried had learned. But you can never be too sure.

Trapped: Autumn Unofficial Release

Every journey begins somewhere...

Autumn.jpg

Trapped: Autumn, a book I didn’t think it would make the light of day. Something I didn’t think was possible, to write and publish a book all in under a month. The story is based on real life events and conversations, real people and situations. A simple tale that was turned into a mix of grounded reality and a mythological tale that was used to be told. A mixture in styles between the classical way of writing and telling a story, and post-modern ideas with modern language. The choice of taking the characters from a real place comes from the idea of transcribing reality onto paper and grounding the work. The same goes for the dialogue and situations, considering the fact that reality is strange and quirky why not use it? As for why I mixed the situations with mythology, I needed a reason to explain why John, the main character, was going through the motion of the story. Yet the more I wrote the story, the more I fell in love with this idea of why deities are taking shelter on Earth. Something I still want to explore. To the same point, I thought that today lacks this type of literature. As in gods or anything mythical for that reason. Something that influenced the writing style, opting for a more classic style in that regard. The sort of idea of a Shakespearean play set in today’s world, with today’s morals and standards. To bring comparison to what it can be interpreted as lack of progress over the many years that have passed. Which is why this book has references, ideas and what I like to call little gems hidden from the very first words of the preface until the last word of the book. Again, something with which the reader would have to be very careful, knowledgeable, patient when reading the book. In the end everything is connected and has a purpose and some sort of sense. That is why I entrusted the reader that once he steps into this world, he will be put to observe like an omniscient god the story that unfolds in front of his eyes, and at that understand the story itself.

What should one expect from this mix styles? Fairly easy, not a lot of description for the characters. Since I wanted the story and characters to be relatable and for the reader to place the action wherever he wants. It could be a space epic that has a college with a campus, for what the reader might imagine. No narration, since everything one will read in this book will be thoughts and dialogues. And since the reader is observing thoughts and dialogues they are unfiltered, raw, uncensored and pure. Most times messy, weird, riddled with mistakes and not always making any sense, if the reader doesn’t pay attention. You could say that this book even punishes the reader by not paying attention to what is said, thought or done. Since nothing is said, done or thought without a point or a payoff later on.

What’s the story about is the hardest question one can ask me without spoiling it. In short it’s the tagline of the book. About the man, the myth and the once upon a time. Like I mentioned before, this book is a mix of classic literature, mythology, postmodern ideology, immature philosophy and all for a weird fairy tale with mature language. But to go in a bit of detail about the book, the story takes place around a freshman in college. A student that asks too many questions, has too many opinions, thinks a bit too much and has a tendency to self-destruct for educational purposes. Something that does not sit well with his friends or his girlfriend, many times being categorized as a weird guy. Just like his tendency to arrive exactly on time or to be late, yet never early. As such he is put to observe his own behavior, being detached from his own body, what would his opinion of his own actions and thoughts be? If he was to see himself like a stranger and judge himself like he judges strangers. Not only that, but while doing so he is put to task by a force he can’t explain or see. Especially for him to understand what is happening is nearly impossible. Having such a crisis on his hands while trying to solve two mysteries, is not an easy task to fulfill.

About the author, well, I’m twenty six years of age. I love classical music, rock, any music that is either fun or has some actual meaning in its lyrics. A former student at the College of Literature in Cluj-Napoca, Romania with a Major in English and Minor in Japanese. Currently, besides writing short stories on this blog and writing books, I also work in retail at a liquor store with twelve hour shifts.

If there is something I believe in, it’s the fact that everything can be joked about. There is nothing in this world that can’t be joked about or made fun of. Since every experience is something to learn from, making a joke about it, can only help in the end. As long as you take the lesson with you further down the road. If I had any inspirations? Well, Shakespeare inspired me in only one aspect, when it comes to this book that people need to be reminded of what they are. Just like South Park reminds provides us with the best social commentary there is. Through crude language and exaggeration, South Park on the weekly awes me that is why I used this sort of vulgar language in this book. George Carlin would be another one, considering that even today many of his ideas still float inside my head. Like for example “Don’t bullshit, there’s enough bullshit as is in this world”, to this I hold near and dear.

When it comes to any other influences, there would be the music I was listening while writing the book. Such as classical music and rock, there are twenty three songs I listened to while writing the book. If you search on YouTube “Trapped: Autumn the music behind the book” you will find the complete set of songs. How music influenced my work? It helped me keep a certain tone to the book, listening to music helped me keep the world tighter and the ideas linear. Then there is the title, which itself is a reference to the last album of the band HIM, Trapped in Autumn. But more precisely it would be to the song Into the night, which is constantly paraded throughout the book.

If I were to describe my own style of writing, it would be personal. As in everything I write feels intimate, real, uncensored and unfiltered. With a mixture of everything that is, plus something new. Something that is has substance, emotion and thought put behind every word.

My last word would be the fact that I look forward for people to read Trapped: Autumn, to look forward to my future books. And I hope that I gave them something to think about, get attached to and want more of.

Tell Me

tell me.jpg

Every step matters, even if you make a right, or wrong decision. The path that defines you remains, the promises will chase you like the past, the rumors, the way you've been. Trying to escape by closing yourself down to nothing, until the memory of you in the mind of the persons you know will become nothing. All but a myth, with a question mark on your existence in their memories.

The shadow you let on, the people you know will disappear, and the impact on them will fade away. Just as they will remember you vaguely. But as you close yourself down, hold on to the dreams you once had... Prepare your journey to a whole new level that you didn't had the courage to make your way towards. As you do you start to open up again, to regenerate, the person you are in a better version. Something new even for you. Starting to learn yourself again. The person you are, once is dead and long gone. It is time for you to discover what you can do, to reach further than you've ever imagined.

There is a fire inside this heart and a riot about to explode into flames. Trying to save the best from what I've been. I ask myself if I can kill to save a person, to save myself, to prove I'm right. Or let everything burn to ashes just because I'm something new? The drug of the past, dream I had to let it go, to save a life, a dream I had and let it all burn.

With every breath I took, and how many a night I'd lay wide awake, on the sound of the poison rain. The heart started to burn from the pain that poisoned my blood. In the touch of a delusion called a dream of sorrow. Escaping the past in the heartbeat of the damned. Sweet dream of the corner I need to be in to make sens of this world. Facing the mistakes, the past turning into something more... What I was before, am no more, stopped living a beautiful lie, a lie that torn down the man I wanted to be.

With nowhere to go, at nights fire waking up from a nightmare. Starting a war against the world that took me down. I promise that I made, the love I had I gave it up, just to make my own way from the past path and loves lost. Finding a new way of life, with a different look in the eyes, different in touch. Taking the mess to a new order of the life, of a new world that I started building.

Let the beautiful lie called past fade away into a corner of your mind.
