I Write Sins... Not Tragedies 4 - Skinny Love
In the bedroom, I sit myself down on the bed, a heavy sigh leaves my body as my back hits the bed. Anxiety sparks through my body as a smile sets upon my face and the light from the ceiling fills my eyes. A shadow appears above my face. It draws itself nearer and nearer as she steals a kiss and tells me she loves me. My hands wrap around her as I hold her tight, as my anxiety boils within me, thoughts of disappointing her pop into my mind. A heavy heart grows within me as she whispers something into my ear. Distracted, I don’t register anything she says. Her touch falls numb on my skin as it burns. My mind too follows into numbness, heat escapes my body, she pulls back. I want you, she says with a mischievous look in her eyes. I smile and embrace her once again.
So? What are we doing? She asked on a sweet tone. I bite her neck, blow into her ear and start to tickle her. Hey! Stop that! She starts to giggle, then to howl as my fingers play her ribs sweetly like piano keys. Stop it! She says through the pauses of her laughter. I can’t stop, won’t stop, I tell her while push her off me and I get on top of her. Holding her hands down, with a devilish smile on my face, I go down and bury my head in her stomach and start blowing. She bursts out in laughter just as she tries to escape my torment. Faces hurting and out of breath, we both sit by each other in bed, holding hands. I turn towards her squeezing her hand and from my lips “I love you” escapes. Once more she looks at me smiling. I love you too, she says. My head feels heavy, as I move to my usual spot in the bed. She too moves, as we lay there looking at each other without saying anything.
With the night spread through the room, I open my mouth, trying to say something, anything. Yet nothing comes out. She asks me what I wanted to say, but I already forgot. Are you sleeping? I answer with a no, telling her that I am thinking about everything and nothing. A strange feeling overcomes me, as her hand touches my skin beneath my shirt. She scoots over and starts kissing me, tongue in mouth, like she had pulled my heart into my mouth and started playing with it. Her hand goes further down and gently move around arousing all the hairs on me. Without even thinking, I pull her closer to me, so I can feel her body pressed against mine as we kiss. As the night deepens, the moon’s light starts to shine through the window, lighting the room and dancing together with us.
